Economic Calendar Data Coverage and Sources

Finance Calendar combines economic-release schedules, central bank decisions and exchange holidays in one dataset. This directory measures what is recorded now, separates event types by country or area, and shows collection status when reported. It does not claim to contain every economic event.

Snapshot generated: . This is the dataset build time; source verification is separate.

The current snapshot contains 2907 records, including 478 labelled estimated, 216 without a source URL and 0 marked with stale source data. These are dataset counts across its recorded window, not an annual release count or a completeness score.

A holiday-only country is not evidence of economic-indicator coverage. Earliest and latest records include all event types in this table; they do not promise a continuous or confirmed schedule between those dates.

Source collection status

Checked time records when a connector ran. Fetched time is shown only when an upstream response was read successfully. A static registry load is not fresh publisher verification.

Candidate counts describe connector output before deduplication and reconciliation. They should not be added together to calculate published events.

What the coverage numbers mean

A record is a scheduled release, decision or holiday occurrence. The database window contains historical and future records; its total is not an annual event count. One release can report several measures, such as headline and core inflation, without becoming several scheduled events.

Countries and areas have different depths of coverage. The euro area is a region. A country present only because of its stock exchange holidays does not have an economic-indicator calendar. Recorded series counts reflect series with event rows in this snapshot, rather than every entry in the source registry.

Sources and free data

We are expanding through free official publisher sources. Where a row has a source URL, follow it to inspect the originating schedule or release. Some existing records come from maintained calendar rules or a static registry and are labelled estimated where recorded. A source URL by itself does not establish that the source was fetched recently.

Dataset build time, connector check time and successful upstream fetch time are separate. A new snapshot can still contain an old estimate. The source status table distinguishes a successful fetch from a static registry load, a failed request or a disabled source when the snapshot reports those details.

Known limitations

  • Schedules, actual results and consensus are separate fields with different availability. Official calendars generally provide announced release dates, rather than market consensus forecasts.
  • A missing value is unknown or unavailable, not zero. Released status does not guarantee an actual result has been captured.
  • Estimated dates, missing source links and stale source data are disclosed above. The latest recorded date does not promise uninterrupted coverage to that date.
  • Results can be revised. Historical event rows are not a complete point-in-time archive of what each user could have known at a past instant.
  • The economic calendar API excludes company earnings. Exchange closures are available separately and are opt-in in general calendar requests.

Inspect and use the data

Browse today’s calendar or this week’s releases. Developers can inspect country counts, the series directory, API status and the full snapshot. The API hub explains free access and attribution; the endpoint guide covers request and field semantics.
